9 Ave Animal Clinic is a tiny clinic but filled with staff with big hearts. We had only gone for routine check ups with our dog Bella up until recently. She had a concerning looking growth on her paw that didn’t respond to antibiotics. Following an X-ray to confirm it wasn’t affecting the bone, Dr. W recommended to watch it closely as he believed it might go away on its own. Sure enough, The growth disappeared over two weeks and Bella is back to her crazy zoomie self. We appreciated the conservative approach the team took, and the follow up phone calls they made to make sure things were progressing well. Overall very pleased with our experience at the Animal Clinic!

If there was more than 5 stars to give they would have it. We recently changed our vet to this one and it was the best decision. I felt very save and comfortable bringing my little puppy here! It’s very clean and welcoming! The staff are amazing and the vet was full of amazing tips and information! The clinic is super cute and clean, felt welcoming. After having a mishap with some shampoo and a rash, she reassured us that his breed was very hypersensitive and will react to anything. Felt like a safe place to ask any question we had and she was full of amazing information and tips for us! She explained everything that she was doing without us asking and it felt reassuring that he was well looked after! They are very transparent with their pricing and affordable. Would recommend to everyone!

I've taken my little bit chubby kitty, Charly, to see both Dr. Joe and Dr. Fleur they were both great and made me feel like she is just fine. They both gave me suggestions on feeding ideas so maybe Charly might lose a bit of weight over time. But I definitely felt reassured that my baby is okay and now I have finally stopped worrying. I've been bringing my cat to the Animal Clinic on 9th for 5+ years now and have no complaints. At first it was just the annual check-ups and shots and as she's gotten older and we've had more health things pop up I've gone more often (she's 13 now). Dr. Joe is always professional and open to listening to my concerns and discussing them. He tries to provide different options and explain what each looks like in terms of what he recommends, what to expect, possible side effects, cost, etc and helps guide you through it. When necessary, he will refer you to specialists and seems to genuinely care about the pets he treats. The ladies at the front desk are also excellent- they are always friendly and responsive and call a few days after an appointment to check in and see how your pet is doing on the new medication or after a procedure. Overall love that this is one of the few remaining privately owned (non-chain) vet clinics and the location in downtown is ideal for pet owners who also live downtown.

We recently moved to Calgary and we decided to give this clinic a go because of the location and glowing reviews. We can tell you - believe the hype. You and your pet(s) will feel so cared for and looked after, not just like another number or bill. Everyone at this clinic, from reception to the vets and in between, took their time with us and our little, adopted, afraid dog. She ended up needing dental surgery and the care and phonecalls around the entire treatment was outstanding. This clinic restored our faith in vet services, and we know our little furry one will be in great preventative health for all the years we're lucky enough to spend with her.

Dr Joe and the whole staff at Animal Clinic are absolutely wonderful. They provide such great care to our dog Millie. She is a curious pup and has gotten herself into a few situations that have required urgent visits to the vet. Recently, we suspected she had some foxtails embedded in her paw and Dr Joe gave us clear instructions of what to look for at home and we were able to work together to locate the signs, and bring her in for a surgery to have the foxtail removed. I always feel like Millie is in good care at Animal Clinic. Thank you to the whole staff for your kindness and care.

Dr. Joe and his staff are the most caring and compassionate group. They are the utmost professionals in animal care. Dr. Joe has always been dead on in his diagnosis offering the best and easiest solutions with only the health of the animal in mind, not profits. His no nonsense practical and careful approach has earned my full trust over the many years he’s cared for my little guy who always comes out better after seeing him. The Animal Clinic has been our vet for almost a year. When we first got our puppy, we were very new to the game and didn't know what to expect. I go to this clinic even though I live in Midnapore. The staff are caring and compassionate. Dr. Waldman is extremely knowledgable, caring, compassionate. I have gone to different vets and initially thought they were good, then something happens, usually a missed diagnosis and my pet has then suffered needlessly.
