Dr. Baker grew up in Victoria, B.C. She completed a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Animal Biology at Thompson River University in Kamloops in 2006 before moving onto the Western College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan where she graduated in 2010.
After 3 1/2 years in rural mixed practice in Rocky Mountain House, Tessa is excited to join the 9th Avenue Animal Clinic.
In the fall of 2013, Tessa spent one month in Laos with Vets Without Borders, working with rural villagers to improve the health and welfare of their food animals and pets.
In her free time, Tessa enjoys skiing, hiking, biking, camping and riding her horse, Callie.
